Week 8 - Challenge 4 - Bumper
BUMPER
Aim
- For the given Class-A Bumper Surface we have to create a closed surface and perform draft analysis.
Procedure
First we are checking the Given Class-A surface if it has any irregularities and then we are goint to create the Tooling Axis For the Surface.

TOOLING AXIS
- We are creating the tool axis for this surface in the normal direction of surface.
- First we rae extracring a surface in suitable direction and creating a point on the surface and drawing the narmal to it.

Class -A Surface
- We are going to check the Class-A surface and perform the Draft analysis for the surface so that it is within our analysis.

CLASS-B
- We are going to create the class-B surface from the Class-A.
- First we are going to offset the whole Class-A surface to distance of 3MM and we will get patches andd we will fill these patches by extrapolating and give fillet radius and finally extrapolating the boundaries.

CLASS-C SURFACE
- In this surface we are going to create it with Class-A and we will go with Two methods i.e
- 1)If the surface is Parallel to the Tooling axis we will go with Sweep with Draft direction at 3°.
- 2)If the Surface is Perpendicular to Tooling axis we will go with Sweep with Reference Surface at 90°.

FINAL SURFACE
- After creating the Class-B and Class-C surface We are going to join the Class-A and Class-C and then Trim it with Class-B.

CLOSED SURFACE
- We are going to define the final surface in part body and apply closed surface command.

Draft Analysis
- In this operation we are going to perform draft analysis
- we are doing this analysis so that our product is within our considered values i.e between 0°-3°.

Hence our analysis is within our range.
NOTE:
While we are joining the Class-A and Class-C we are getting a open boundary in some areas even though we are doing in the correct order and there is a rule where we cannot modify the Class-A surface and we are removing the surface and creating the multisectionsolid and joining it with the surface.
