ATTACHMENT FEATURE CREATION CHALLENGE -2

Aim

To create the dog house on the plastic component .

Objective

• To create the tooling axis for the main core and side core .
• To create the solid component for the given class A surface.
• To perform the draft analysis on the doghouse and main part .

Creation of toolimg axis

• The propable direction for the tooling is initially checked and founded.
• One flt surface from the class-A surface has takened.
• One midpoint is created on that surface .
• With Respect to that suface one perpendicular line is created . ( this line is main part tooling axis )
• From that same middle point one perpendicular line is created . ( this line is out side core tooling axis)

Dog house creation

The required surface is extracted from the class A surface adn its offseted for 2.5mm.

The required sketch for the dog house is drawn.

The sketch is sweeped along with tooling axis for required length .

The top open surface of the sweep is filled by MSS and its joined with the sweep.

The surface is thickend to 2mm

.

Then drafted to 1.5 degree.

Forvthe creation of intersection ' C ' the required profile is created and its offseted . Then its splited from the solid drafted component.

The it was drafted to 0.5 degree

Draft analysis on the doghouse with main part tooling axis.

Draft analysis with side core axis.

Conclusion

Doghouses on the required face is created adn the draft analysis is performed along with the both main core and side axis.
