Project:- Coin Holder Design

REPORT FOR COIN HOLDER DESIGN WITH DRAFT ANALYSIS

EXPLANATION:-

CLASS A SURFACE

  • Class A Surface of coin holder is imported first.
  • Extract base surface and create new axis system by creating a point on the surface.
  • Now check the class A surface by using boundary, now untrim the boundary into 2 element which will be used in future.

TOOLING AXIS CREATION:-

  • For this component we bisect with the plane and component.
  • By seeing bisect we observe that one wall is at 90degree.
  • For creating tooling axis for this component just create a normal line using the point we created intially.

CREATION OF CLASS B SURFACE:-

  • Note in the feature tree, Class B surface has been divided by into 3part.They are Side wall,Top wall and Outer flange.
  • Extract the surface of class A and untrim them.
  • Now extrapolate them and offset them by 2.5mm as it is the thickness of the component.
  • Trim them to the desired result.
  • Similary process is followed for the other two but for outer flange we offset it inward instead of outward.

CREATION OF CLASS C SURFACE:-

  • For class C surface we extract the boundary and surface of outer flange of class A surface.
  • Now we create surface sweep to create class c surface using subtype: with referance surface.
  • we give 4mm or more thickness to class C surface.
  • Now we add fillets to the sharp edges.
  • Join class C surface with class A.
  • Now trim with class B surface.

SOME SMALL CHANGES:-

Creation of this small surface had been left so we will create this surface first.

  • Extract from class A surface and untrim them.
  • Extrapolate them and trim them .
  • Now offset them.
  • Now replace trim16 with trim1 and we get the final result.

Now open part body and Thicken it to get solid body.
