Week 8 - Challenge 3 - Coin Holder Design
COIN HOLDER DESIGN
OBJECTIVE:
TO DESIGN COIN HOLDEER as per automotive OEM standards
2.Create B Class and Class and tooling axis.
3.Convert close lose the surface into the solid body and provided the thickness of 2.5mm
4.performing draft analysis to verify the creation of the tooling axis and Class surface/

DESIGN METHODOLOGY
PROCEDURE FOR CREATION TOOL AXIS
1.INTERECT THE MODEL WITH THE PLANE PERPENICULAR OR TO AN AXIS SYSTEM
2.EXTEND THE LINES WHICH ARE PERPENDICULAR TO THE PLANES.
3.AGAIN INTERSECT THE MODEL WITH ANOTHER PLANE AND EXTEND THE LINES BY BISECTING OPTION IN LINE DEFINITION.
5.RENAME IT AS TOOL AXIS.

B lass surface.
1.Extract the side wall with no propagation in extract option
2.ntrin them and extrapolate the walls with point continuity of distance 20mm
3.Trim the walls to get the required shape.
4.offset those trimmed walls with thickness value.

Top and bottom surface
Extract the surfaces separately and untrim them.
2.extrapolate the surfaces with required distances.
3.offset the two-thickness value.
4.trim them for required shape.
5.Measure the fillets, calculate it and create fillets.
CLASS C SURFACE.
- Get the boundary lines of class A surface separately.
- Smooth the curves with a smooth option as boundary lines have a lot of vertices.
- Sweep the curves with tooling axis as direction in sweep option.
- As both lined do not intersect, extrapolate them with a certain distance.
- Trim the surfaces.

PROCEDURE FOR CREATING CLOSED BODY SURFACE.
- JOIN the A & C.
- TRIM those joined surfaces with class b.
- Go to part design and insert a body.
- Create a closed surface.

PROCEDURE FOR CREATING DRAFT ANALYSIS:
1.Go to the insert menu and select the analysis option.
2.select feature draft analysis.
3.select the material option and select the surface.
4.drag the compass and place the tooling axis.
5.make sure that the top surface is in green color draft angle should not exceed 3deg.
6.Click on ok after confirm the model.
