Radar Mast & Final Assembly of Yacht
MODELLING OF SUNSEEKER PREDATOR YATCH
In this project we learn to model different parts of yatch and assemble them using solid works. The yatch is modelled by first drawing a 2D sketch and then converting it to 3D using basic commands in solidworks and the parts are assembled . Later materials and decals are added. Finally the yatch is rendered and photorealistic model is created by altering the camera angle and background settings.
The components which we learnt in Yatch are:-
1.Blue print setup
- Propeller
- Radar
- Hull
- Garage door
- Rear,Middle and Front seat
7.Radar mast
- Superstructure
- Final assembly of yatch

the features and properties used in the entire model to design different parts:-
- Extrude boss

- Fillet

- Revolve boss feature

- Extrude cut

- Shell

- Linear pattern

G.Mirror

- Projected curve

Surface features
1.Surface extrude

2.Surface revolve

3.Surface loft

4.Surface sweep

5.Surface sweep

6.Surface trim

7.Surface extend

8.Surface knit

Blueprint setup

1.Propeller
Its rotory motion through the water creates a difference in pressure between the front and back surfaces of the blades.it provides thrust so that the yatch moves easily. Historically, submerged propellers on inclined shafts have been the most popular propulsion option for large and small yachts. Further, adjustable-pitch propellers are more likely to cause excessive noise and vibrations at high speed.

It uses features such as
1.extruded boss
2.splines,
3.revolve
4.mirror
5.sweep.
6.fillet
7.cut extrude
8.split.
9.dome
2.Radar
The radar is used to estimate the relative position of the yatch. Marine radars are X band or S band radars on ships, used to detect other ships and land obstacles, to provide bearing and distance for collision avoidance and navigation at sea. Radar is a vital navigation component for safety at sea and near the shore.

It uses features such as
1.extruded boss
2.splines,
3.revolve
4.mirror
5.sweep.
6.fillet
7.cut extrude
8.split
- Hull
It is the watertight enclosure of the ship, which protects the goods carrying area,Machinery. The body of a boat is called its hull. At the upper edges of the boat's hull are the gunwales. The gunwales provide extra rigidity for the hull. The cross-section of the stern, where you attach an outboard motor, is called the transom.

Features used to create the Front wheel:
- Sketch
- Lines
- 3 point arc
- Sketch fillet
- Revolve
- Spline 2
- Extend
- Trim
- Cut extrude
- Offset
- Revolve cut
- Circular pattern
- Chamfer
- Fillet
- Sketch
- Lines
- Revolve
- Circle
- Fillets
- Linear pattern
- Spline
- Extrude cut
- Dome
- Curve
- Sweep
- Plane
- Mirror
- Combine
- Garage door
Provides safety to the things in the garage

- Sketch
- 3-point arc
- Extend
- Trim
- Revolve
- Spline
- Fillet
- Shell
- Rear,Middle and Front seat
Mainly used for resting on the yatch. Benches. This is the standard type of seating you'll find to add to your boat. Benches are available in a variety of sizes, usually somewhere from 28 inches in length to 65 inches in length.

- Lines
- 3-point arc
- Boss extrude
- Combine
- Fillet
- Shell
7.Radar mast
Complete assembly which protects the radar.RADAR is a detection system that uses radio waves to determine distance, angle,or velocity of objects.it can be used to detect aircrafts, ships, etc.

Features used to create the Pedal:
- Sketch
- Lines
- Circles
- Fillet
- Revolve
- Dome
- Chamfer
- Linear pattern
- Superstructure
Super structure is an upward extension of the yatch mainly it provides the housing above the yatch. On water craft, the superstructure consists of the parts of the ship or a boat, including sailboats, fishing boats, passenger ships, and submarines, that project above her main deck. This does not usually include its masts or any armament turrets.

Features used to create the Front wheel:
- Sketch
- Lines
- 3 point arc
- Sketch fillet
- Revolve
- Spline 2
- Extend
- Trim
- Cut extrude
- Offset
- Revolve cut
- Circular pattern
- Chamfer
- Fillet
Assembly of Yatch
All individually created parts are assembled into the complete yatch form.

Rendering
The rendering of Yatch is done by photoview 360 to produce photo realistic renders of the model.
