Week - 5 - 2D meshing for Plastic components

Aim:-

For the given Plastic Bottle Cap model, check for the geometrical errors and take the mid surface by suitable mid surfacing techniques. PID and Thickness assignment has to be done for all the mid surfaces. Mesh the same with the given element Quality criteria.

Procedure :

First we took the model from given link and download the model.

Then we open model in ANSA,for fixing graphical issue we will give inputs like below

Then open model In ansa,It's like below

Then apply the TOPO

Then provide lengh in classic mesh better view.

Then we go for geometrical check up's

finally we have only one geometrical issue we can resolve manually.

Then we go for midsurface creation.

first measure the thickness of the model.

Then we create midsurface for varies thickness surface seperated with new PID

Then we go for meshing

Then we given the best mesh option to generate mesh on the given model.

Then we check mesh generation like above and we check the mesh flow.For plastic component some mesh need ignore due shape of the model.
