Week-4 Challenge WOT Condition Part-2

Answer1 :

Difference between Mapped and Dynamic Models
Mapped Model Dynamic model
Short intro In math models to data used for the operation and simulation are to be entered in the form of look up table which would be then configured with the operational parts and the analysis would be formed. Dynamic model it understands the behaviour of the part or element and then it behaves accordingly it gives heated analysis for the variation centred by us in the specifications where as its simulates according to real and dynamic operations.
Advantages If the detailed specifications or look up table data is available with us de simulation becomes easier and it gives the results on the basis of data interpreted also known as global based model it operates dynamically depending on the situations of operation detail data and specifications are not required in the simulation gives the detailed analysis of the components simulated. It is also known as real time based model.
Disadvantages More data has to be collated and some assumptions might also have to be taken Could not simulate as per our customized specifications.
Engine Engine performance can be simulated with the array of data interpreted in the system where as all condition such as engine operations power efficiency could be measured according Engine performance will be simulated as per the original or real engines specifications of the designated vehicle chosen first simulation all results will be obtained with real time details
Motor Motor specifications has RPM maximum efficiency heat and such specifications are to be entered person relating the results the actual details for the same will be considered and the will be obtained
Generator Specifications for battery talk battery current motor top and other to the entered first simulation All the details and specifications would be considered as per the actual and dynamic state the result of the same will be obtained then

Steps to select the Model Type

  1. In the powertrain blockset module we first need to choose the vehicle type, whether it's full electric, full machine or the type of hybrid vehicle.
  2. After that the Simulink model appears by showing the work inflow blocks of the model.
  3. In that we need to go to Passenger Block Electric factory * EV Motor/ Generator block.
  4. After this just right click and go to Variance lable mode Activate choice MotorGenEV Mapped or Dynamic.

Answer 2 :

Below is the snippet of simulink model calculating miles per gallon to know the fuel efficiency or rating of a vehicle.

The Factors considered for indicating the Fuel Efficiency are,

  1. Vehicle Speed
  2. Battery Power
  3. Fuel Flow

Conversion from Cubic Meter to gallon (m^3 to gallon),

As we know 264.172 US Gallons is 1000L (reference 3)

The reference model taken here for consideration is HEV and as it operates on both the Battery and the Fuel Injection Engine.

The final output/Fuel Efficiency is calculated by considering Battery Output, Fuel Output and the Vehicle Speed/Kilometres Driven.

Therefore the fuel efficiency is calculated and it is converted after the saturation.

thus the FE is calculated.
