>For the defaults in file as shown below with cargo mass of 500kg the vehicle can only travel 17.8 km.

All the parameters of the vehicle model for the simulatiom is left as defult only the cargo mass is set to 500kg and driving cycle is change to cyc_FTP as per the question.

The driving cycle is only run for one cycle.

From the output we can clearly observe that the distance travell by the Vehicle is 17.8 km.

From the output GUI, The fuel consumption is 6.8Liter per 100km

The various plot such as drive cycle, bttery SOC after the complition on one drive cycle, various gasses emitted by vehicle and overall ration are also shown in left side of the screen.

Now keeping all the vehicle parameters as previous, increasing and decreasing the battry capacity by increasing and decreasing the no. of model we get the result as belows;

From all the three output GUI we can observed that the distance travelled by the vehicle is same (17.8km).

We observe that the state of charge of battery after the complition of one deive cycle is changing with cahnge in battery capacity.

when we increased the battey capacity the SOC after the one driving cycle is more as compared to the decreased battey capacity.

Q3ANS

The gradeability test is performed on the PRIUS_Jpn_defaults_in_ file.

Here i have cahge the cargo mass to 200kg

The drive cycle is set to UDDS and run for one cycle only.

The Gradeability is set to 17%.
