Week-3 Challenge: ADVISOR Tool
Ans1
For ev default file with 500 kg cargo mass, we are checking that it can travel 45 km or not with FTP drive cycle mode

here we have changed the US to metric mode so that we can get all units in mks then I have started the simulation
And new window has popped up and I have changed the load file to ev default in and cargo mass as 500kg
and press continue

As shown below here I changed the drive cycle to cyc_ftp mode and I have kept the number of cycles as 2.385 so that we
should get exactly 45km because with one cycle it will go 17.77km as shown below
now I have run the simulation

OUtput
Here it's showing warning as the battery capacity has less we need to increase battery capacity
to travel 45 km and with this much power we are just able to go 41.4km as shown below
when power stored in the battery is about to finish then the engine will stop because it is a pure electric vehicle we
need to charge to utilize again otherwise, we need to increase battery capacity so that it travels 45km without being charged again

If I will increase the battery limit then this warning message will not show

Ans2
now we are just changing the battery capacity and observing the output
25 mod

output-

28 mod

output

30 mod capacity battery

output

33 mod capacity battery

Gradeability test with PRIUS_Jpn_defaults_in file and Compare results
I have changed the load file as PRIUS JPN DEFAULTS IN and pressed continue

after the new window is shown I have clicked on the grade option after that I clicked on all system enable
then selected ok after that I have run the program
I have kept the speed at 10mph and duration at 15s

I have kept the speed at 10 mph and duration at 15s

gradibility=32.8%
I have kept the speed at 15mph and the duration as 15

gradibility=27%
I have kept the speed to 20mph and the duration to 15s

I have kept the speed to 20mph and the duration to 15s

gradibility=22.1%
I have kept the speed at 10mph and the duration as 15

gradibility=33.7%
I have kept the speed to 10mph and the duration to the 20s

I have kept the speed to 10mph and the duration to the 20s

gradibility=27.7%
I have kept the speed to 20mph and the duration to the 20s

gradibility=22.9%
for duration=15s
- speed (mph) gradability
10 32.8%
15 27%
20 22.1%
for duration=20s
- speed (mph) gradability
10 33.7%
15 27.7%
20 22.9%
In the above table, we can understand that as we are increasing duration we are getting gradability value more than
the previous vale and also if we are increasing our speed then gradability is going to reduce continually that we can observe
with above data
