ANS:

The cargo mass is changed to 500kg

The distance traveled is 17.7km

When the drive cycle is changed to 3, still the vehicle is unable to travel 45kms. It is only able to travel 41.4kms

2. Changing battery capacity:

2a. When battery # of the mod is changed to 30, the vehicle travels a distance of 49.1kms

2b. When the # of the mod is changed to 32, the vehicle travels a distance of 52.5kms

2c. When the # of mod is changed to 35, the vehicle travels a distance of 53.2

3. Gradability test with Prius

3a. When the speed is 20mph, there is no gradability

3b. When the speed is 30mph, the gradability is 2.5%

3c. When the speed is 40mph, the gradability is 2.5%

3d. When the speed is 50 mph, the gradability is 2%

3d. When the speed is 60mph, the gradability is 1.5%.

Conclusion: We can hereby conclude that if the speed increases, the gradability decreases.
