Week-3 Challenge: ADVISOR Tool
1.
We have performed the test with FTP drive cycle and with a cargo mass and 500 kg as can be seen in the fig below.
We see that the distance travelled by the car is 11 miles i.e. 17.7 km for 1 FTP drive cycle
And the SOC curve is 60%
.

For 2 FTP drive cycle the distance is 35.5 km and the SOC is around 30%

For 3 FTP drive cycle the distance covered is 41.1 km but the battery is fully depleted

Hence we can conclude that the vehicle cannot travel 45 km as the SOC becomes 0 before travelling 45km

2.
We try to change the no. of battery pack of the vehicle and see the Distance travelled by the car.

The distance travelled is 42.1km and the SOC becomes 0 for 3 FTP cycles.

When no. of battery pack is 27, the distance travelled is 44.8 km

For battery pack of 28, the distance travelled is 46.8 km.

The Gradeability Test is done on Toyota Prius model.
Our Aim is to perform the Gradeability test on the model at different speed and compare the result.

Gradeability test at 48.3 kmph is 1.8%

Gradeability at 56.3 kmph is 1.9%

Gradeability at 64.4% is 1.7%

Gradeability at 72.4kmph is 1.5%

Gradeability at 80.5 kmph is 1.6%

Gradeability at 88.5 kmph is 1.7%
