Butterfly Valve: Assembly

AIM:- To assemble all the designed parts of the butterfly valve and apply GD&T to the entire assembly using NX.

Assembly:

Steps:

1. Imported all the design files in the assembly file.
2. Infer Centre/Axis & touch constraints are applied to the hole of the disc plate to the shaft hole and the surface where the disc plate is attached respectively.
3. The shaft is aligned to the main body side hole.
4. The side surface of the disc plate is applied with the main body internal's surface with touch constraint.
5. The axis of the Lever is inferred with the shaft's axis and aligns the key way of the parts.
6. The retainer is inferred with the 3 holes on the main body to cover the shaft.
7. The nut touches the lever to fix the shaft to the main butterfly valve body.
8. Screws are fixed to the holes using infer centre/axis & touch constraints.
9. After the assembly is done, GD&T is applied to the connecting parts.
10. The holes are given profile tolerance.
11. The holes on the other side are given position tolerance with respect to the datum holes.
