UNDER BODY COOATING

Underbody coating is basically is layer which is painted or sprayed underneath of vehicle to protect from various kind of problems like rusting , noise etc.

Underbody coating is  applied undercarriage of automobile. it can applied after all the process of vehicle happened but also it can applied after buying 1 or 2 years. as it can further prevent from damage of underccarriage.

It is a thick layer which is applied under the body.

UNDERBODY COATING which is applied , is of many kinds applied , but here most often or generally we used are :

1. rubber underbody coating

2. Asphalt based automotive coating

 This rubber undebody coating prevents from noise.

Best suited for lorries, trucks and large vehicles this provides a greater degree of protection compared to rubber-based coatings. However, asphalt-based coatings contain little amounts of rubber for sound-insulation purposes. The process of applying this coating is a bit time-consuming though.

DISADVANTAGES OF UNDERBODY COATING

1. It will not good result , when corrosion or rust is already present. So whenever applied the underbody coating , first we need to remove rust first , then applied.

2. It works better on new car, so at the time of sending to the dealership, then undercoating should be done, to get proper results.

3. It adds weights to the vehicle .

4.  Underbody coating life is minimal   when  drives  in a dirty place  frequently.

5. undercoating body must be applied every 3 to 5 years for better results. So maintence cost is high.

ADVANTAGES of UNDERBODY COATIN

1. FIGHT RUST

• Fighting with rust , is an important role in any of the product which is used for day to day life, especially when the automobile is near the sea side , due to humidity , rusting takes place easily, and also like pollution environment , rusting acquired easily. In the rainy city areas where every day rainfall comes, there rusting is more prominent , so for that underbody coating is necessary and it prevents from rusting. 

2.ABOSORB NOISE

• Noise is one of the main concerns in our life , and underbody coating gives us this advantages of reducing less noise as compared to without undercoating body , as it is generally use of rubber underbody coating , and as we all know that rubber is good property of absorbing noise, So this thick layer of underbody coating absorb noise of roads , and prevent the noise in the cabin part.

3.REINFORCEMENT 

• Reinforcement basically means to have strength in it , so applying underbody coating adds extra strength to undercarriage automobiles, it prevents  automobiles when  on the roads where pebels , gravels are present.

4. PROLONG CAR'S LIFE

• Good undercoating not only defends the underbody from corrosion but also protects the engine and transmission as well! Less rusting coupled with slower wear and tear can surely add years to the lifespan of your vehicle. There would be fewer dents, dings and scratches on the undercarriage for you to fret about.
