Underbody Coating
UNDER BODY COATING:
Under body coating provides long lasting protection against corosion on underneath of the vehicle. It also protect the internal body panels, cavites that are not physically accessible but prone to corrosion.under coating is atype of defense layer that applied to the undernaeth of the vehicle.Driving is a process of forcing small specks from the ground to the lower parts of cars. These spots gradually damage the undercarriage of the car and leave cracks and crevices, where rust develops. They can often be the cause of mechanical failures.

TYPES OF UNDER BODY COATINGS:
underbody coating can be factory-applied or an aftermarket product. The most commonly used coatings are bitumen, resin, and wax based. The most suitable coating type is dependent on the required degree of protection.
- Bitumen based: Suitable across many substrates, but cannot be painted over. Can be applied by brush or spray, high build, and good for very tough conditions such as off-road.
- Wax based:The wax is applied soft and cures hard, either by brush or spray, and can be layered thickly. It cannot be top coated.
- Resin based: Polyurethanes and rubber coating are popular provide long-term stone chip damage and corrosion protection as well as sound . They can be painted over. Can be spray-applied, high build, and particularly good for salted roads.

ADVANTAGES OF UNDER BODY COATING:
- It prevents the underbody of the vehicles from the corrosion.
- It prevents from chipping i.e scratch and wear when vehicle running prevents from stones striking
- It prevents from heat resistance, stops entering heat into the interior from undernath of the vehicle.
- It prevents from noise resistance.
- It acts like a anti vibration of the body
- It elimiates the leakages.
DISADVANTAGES OF UNDER BODY COATING:
- Cost of the vehicle increses based up on the underbody coatings.
- weight of the vehicle increses.
- under body coating is to be applied for every 4-5 years.
