Project - Analysis of a practical automotive wiring circuit
AIM
To study and analyse the given vehicle wire circuit of a basic ignition vehicle
Major Components of the Circuit are
1. Battery
2. Starter
3.Ammeter
4.Fuse
5.Ignition Switch
6.Fuel indicator
7. Distributor
8.Breaker
9.Current and Voltage regulator
10.Horns
11.Parking lights and head lamps
12.Junction box
13.light and horn control switches
2.
1. Battery-It is one of the important part which acts as initial power source or a standby power source for the vehicle for its starting and store excess energy generated
2. Starter-This is used to start the system and act as a control units which regulates voltage variations in the circuit
3.Ammeter-It is used to measure the current flow in the given circuit
4.Fuse-It is used to limit the current flow in the circuit under the safety limits of the battery usage
5.Ignition Switch-It is used to closed the ignition circuit which consist of smark plugs to start the engine
6.Fuel indicator-Used to identify the fuel avalability and send the signal to the fuel controller for the fuel ijection working
3.
If the total load of the battery is 10 A then we should use a fuse which has current rating of 9 A .The reason is that if we take the rating of the fuse as 11 A so that the circuit can work properly for the load condiction of 10A anf if the current usage increase more than the 10 A then it will be limited under 11 A with the help of the fuse
4. The power required is 500 Watt and the battery voltage as given in the question is 12 V then based on the formula for the power the current required comes around 42 Amps therfore a battery pack of 12V and 42 amps is required for the vehicle
5. Paralle connection
We can see that the ugnition switch and the fuse are connected in parallel
The reason is that the ignition switch works on high Voltage as it is connected to the sparks plugs which gerates the sparks and Fuse is used to connect all the other connctions like head light, fuel indicator and many more which work on lower voltage
When the vehicle is ON the ignition system can be controlled idependently without affecting other components due to which it is connected parallel to the main fuse so that if there is any problem in the ignition circuit then also the remaining power circuit will not be affected
6. Series Connection
Battery and Ammeter are connected in series so that all the current consumed through the circuit is measured so that the battery usage is annalyzed properly
CONCLUSION
The following circuit was annalyzed and all the components were identified and the connections where reveiwed and answered
