Calculations:
Battery Pack C: 18 kWh.
Nominal Voltage (Vn) = 3.3 V.
Nominal Cell Capacity (Cn) = 2.5 Ah.
Nominal Cell Capacity in Wh = Vn*Cn = 3.3*2.5 = 8.25 Wh.
Batteries connected in series produce more voltage whereas battery connected in parallel produce more current.
Voltage of battery pack = Nominal Voltage of the cell * no. of cells connected in series,
Considering 100 cells connected in series,
Voltage of a battery pack = 3.3*100 = 330 V.
Capacity in 100 cells connected in series = 100 * 8.25 = 825 Wh.
Modules of 100 cells in connected in series to be connected in parallel to attain 18 kWh battery capacity = 18000/825 = 21.82 ≅ 22.
Considering C-rate = 1.
Current of battery pack = C-rate*Cn*Number of cells in parallel = 1*2.5*22 = 55 A.
ANR26650M1-B cells connected in 100S 22P configuration will give a capacity of 18 kWh with voltage of 330 V and current of 55 A.
