Preparing Schedule & Cost Estimation for a building using REVIT
1) Use the shortcut keys in Revit discussed in class to complete the following tasks and list them below
a. Using 3D model create a section box
* To create a section box in 3d model using shortcut key for 'BX'
b. To create similar doors and windows in a floor plan layout
* To create similar door and windows short key for 'CS' using in floor plan layout.
c. To reduce the thickness of lines visible in plan views
* To create the thichness of lines visible in plan views to using shortcut key for 'TL'
d. To apply override settings to a floor in the model section view
* open the visibility graphics option using 'VG' shortcut key and overide the floor pattern and colour

e. To increase the range of visibility in a plan view
* To increase the visibility range in plan view using 'VR' this feature helps to increase the plan view range
between multible levels.

f. To select the previously selected items
* To select the previously selected iteams shortcut key for 'ctrl+rightclick'
g. To add annotations to the model views
* To add annotations to the model views using shortcut key for 'DI'.
h. To bring the model elements in line
* To bring the model elements in line using shortcut key for 'LI'.
i. To rotate the model elements
* To rotate the model elements using shortcut key for 'RO'.
j. To move an object to another location
* To move an object to another location using shortcut key for 'MV'.
k. To copy a model element
* To copy a model element using shortcut key for 'CO'.
l. To mirror an element about an axis
* To mirrer an element about an axis using shortcut key for 'MM'.
m. To create an array of model elements
* To creae an array of model elements using shortcut key for 'AR'.
2) Using Revit and the project used from week 6 to 8 prepare a schedule for the following
a. Walls
b. Doors
c. Windows
d. Material – Concrete/Wood
To create the cost and quantity scheduled using by revit
*Open the view tab and click the schedule option and open the schedule/quantity option.
* Insert the field in the schedule .
* using the multiple features in the schedule categarie.
a. Wall:

b. Doors

c. Windows

3) Using Revit Calculate area and volume of each room in the model with appropriate room tags applied to each room. Prepare a schedule report for area and volume of each room.
AIM:
To calculate area and volume of each room in the model with appropriate room. prepare a schedule
report for area and volume of each room.

4) Using the same schedule using the unit cost rate for materials available in the internet, prepare total cost of materials used in the project
a. Total Cost of Materials
b. Individual Material Take off
To calculate the unit cost rate for materials available in the internet, calculate the total cost of material and individual material takeoff.
* Open the view tap and click the material take offoption in the schedule option .

5) Using the concept of Visual Programming discussed in class, list a flowchart for the following scenario
a. How to decide framings for a structure using Dynamo ?
b. If there is no water coming from the pipes
c. If request for money from client has been declined for the project
a. How to decide framings for a structure using Dynamo :
* If we need a parametre structure we are deside for create the structure using dynamo.
b. If there is no water coming from the pipes
* If a water is not coming from the pipes, then check the tap.
* The tap is ok ,And check the pipe joint but joint is ok.
* Next check the pump ,pumb also ok.
* finally check the water source.
c. If request for money from client has been declined for the project
* Request the client for the project money but has been declined.
* we are move next step for hold the work of project to clined the money from the
client.
6) List the parameters associated with each model element
a. Wall
b. Floor
c. Door
d. Window
e. Table
f. Building
a. Wall:
* list the parameters of wall element:
* construction,meterial and finishes,graphics,idendify data
b. Floor
*structure and function meterial
