Hood design-Week 2

HOOD DESIGN

Completed the hood challenege by following the given mastersection.

INNER PANEL EMBOSS'S DESIGN

We give the strecture of emboss in a way that when there is a collision the impact should take to the hinge side as much as possible so the impact inside the car for driver and passenger will be less.

OUTER PANEL

to join the outer panel with inner panel we use hemming process. when doing a hemming process its difficult to perform hemming in placess where hood have corners so we give a relife in all corner areas,

STRICKER

the stricker module will be mounded on the inner panel. and the stricker axis is aligned with the hinge axis

HEMMING

for the hemming operation we give a clange of 6 mm. and 0.2 mm gap on both side of the innerpanel portion which is in between the outerpanel and inner panel.
