Fender Design - Wheel Arch Challenge

AIM

To Calculate the Wheel Arch gap at required points and check whether the car passes the European standard.

TYPES OF REGULATIONS

Japanese Standards

• As per Japanese regulation, the clearance between tyre and fender must be greater than 5mm The projected points to be measured are at an angle 30° forward & 50° rearward respectively.

US Standards

• As per the us standards the clearance value should have mim 5mm -20° to 180°

European standard

• The clearance value will be more than 10mm at 30 degrees at forward and 50 degree at backward and line 150mm above X-axis and Mid-point between 50 degree and line above 150mm.

FOR GIVEN FENDER

• We going to use the eroupean standards which statisfy all the standards

• The sketch is created as per the european standards

• SB Clearance value is 43.6263

• SD clearace value is 44.0971

CONCLUTION

• This fender is cleared the european standards the clearance value is greater than 10mm
