                                                           Fender Design

Fender: The fender is a side (front and back total 4) component that defends the entry of sand, mud, stones and another particle inside the engine compartment. It defends also from the accidental hit to the engine compartment and makes a smooth curve of the body so that the aerodynamic shape may be achieved for reducing the drag force.

It is 2 type fender, Full bumper type and Half bumper type. We use the half bumper type because it is less costly, less material and reduces the weight of the car in comparison to the Full bumper type fender.

Fender Mounts: A-Pillar, Drip Area, Sill, Body, Bumper mountings

A-pillar mounting:  A-pillar mounting area is joined to the structural pillar of the front window where it is fixed by fasteners and plastic mould also attach to where Outside rear view mirror (ORVM).

Bumper mountings: bumper mounting areas are taken reference directly from the Bumper which is made of plastic or other material like fibre.

Sill Mountings: sill is mounted below the bottom of the door which is joined to the floor and supported to the fender from the base so that it is rigidly mounted.

Baffle Mounting: A baffle is a plastic part which is mounted on the wheel arch. this mounting is used to protect the engine compartment from the outside stones, mud and others.

Drip Area mountings:  Drip area mounting is the most important because this is set up in the engine compartment.
