Fender Design Challenge
AIM:- Design a front fender from the given skin data and the master section provided with Drip mounting, A-pillar, Sill, Bumper, C mounting, and Splash mountings
Intriduction:-A fender is the part of a car that protects and frames its wheels and keeps mud from splashing it. Most modern vehicles have fenders on their front wheels. When the vehicle is moving, tires pick up stones and others and hurl them in all directions. Fenders are present to prevent injuries to pedestrians and constrain the motion of these particles.

Types of fender:-
There are types of fender
- Full bumper type fender
- Half bumper type fender
Full bumper type fender
Full Bumper type is a traditional type of fender where more material consumption is observed. This type is used in the old design of automobiles where it increases the overall weight and thus reduces performance. The maintenance and manufacturing cast also relatively more due to more surface.
Half bumper type fender
Half Bumper type is a modern design where less material consumption is observed. So productivity increases by reducing the size of blank and thus providing more performance. The maintenance and manufacturing costs are also relatively low compared to the full bumper type.

Different mounting in Fender are:-
- Drip area mounting

- Bumper area mounting

- Sill area mounting

- A pillar mounting

- Cowl mounting

Construction:-
- Drip area mounting
The drip area is the part of fender mounting where it is mounted on the engine compartment. Below is the image of the master section of the fender drip area.
- First, create the sweep for the drip area surface.

- Then assign the given fillet value to the drip area as in the master section.

2. A-pillar mounting
- First, create the sweep for the A-pillar area surface.

- Then assign the given fillet value to the A-pillar.

3. Bumper area mounting
- First, create the sweep for the bumper area surface.

- Then assign the given fillet value to the bumper area.

4. Sill area mounting
- First, create the sweep for the sill area surface.

- Then assign the given fillet value to the sill area.

Construction of Emboss
- First, create the sketch of embossing and then extrude the sketch. Finally split the surface.

- The next step is to sweep the surface and trim the fender with an offset surface.

- Finnaly gives all the fillet value to the drip area embossing. And give the holes in the embossing.

The same is done for Bumper mounting emboss, Sill mounting emboss, Apillar mounting emboss.

Then create the bead in the drip area mounting to increase the strength of the part so it does not break.

Finally, give all the fillet to the corner.

Then thicken the surface.
