Fender Design Challenge
AIM:
The main objective is to design the fender model with the necessary mounts using a class-A surface.
SOFTWARE: NX CAD
THEORY:
FENDER- A fender is different from a bumper because it's a metal structure that frames the wheel well of your car instead of the front or back. The fender extends between the front door to the front bumper covering the front wheels of the vehicle.

TYPES OF FENDER:
Half fender: It reduces weight and scrap.
Full Fender: It increases the weight and scrap of components.
What is the use of a fender in a car?
Fender is the US English term for part of an automobile (vehicle body of the car) that frames the wheel well (the fender underside). Its primary purpose is to shield wheels and protect passengers' compartments and pedestrians from the projection of water, mud and stones.
AREA TO BE CONSIDERED WHILE DESIGNING FENDER:
Drip area
Bumper mounting area
Sill mounting area
Body mounting area
PROCEDURE:
- CREATING THE SECTION
Use a parallel curve to offset the line to 5mm and split the unnecessary surfaces to create mounting surfaces.

- Law extension for Drip area mounting.
- Face blend with 3mm.
- Create a sketch and project for embossing.

- Create sketch and project for embossing of sill mounting.

- Make holes for the side mounting.
- And trim sheet.

- Create a sketch and project with the plane, then create embossing for A-pillar mounting.

- Create a sketch and project with the plane, then create embossing for A-pillar mounting.
- All the emboss should not have any minimum radius.

- Sew all the sheet body.
- Thicken the sheet body with 0.75mm

RESULT:
Created Required mountings.
Created Emboss.
Thicken the sheet metal surface.
