Fender Design
FRONT FENDER:
Fender is the American English term for the part of an automobile, motorcycle or other vehicle body that frames a wheel well, In British English, the fender is called the wing (this may refer to either the front or rear fenders.
The fender is the part of the car directly over the wheel well which helps prevent debris and grime kicked up by the wheels from damaging the sides of the car or other nearby vehicles while you drive. The fender also protects the wheels from side impacts and other potential damage.
Fenders are the curved strut which sits over the wheel well on a car and helps cover the top of the wheel. Most cars have fenders of one type or another to help cover their wheel wells, and these fenders are generally made of the same plastic, metal, or fiberglass material as the rest of the vehicle.
OBJECTIVE:
In this project we are going to design the mounts for the Front fender such as drip, sill, bumper, A-pillar, cowl, and baffle for this we are going to design mounts.

FRONT FENDER DESIGN:
The given Master section to create the Drip Area and For the Sill mount, Bumper Mount and A-Pillar mount create your own design according to the Engineering standard.
There are 5 mounting regions on the fender;
- Pillar mounting
- Body mounting
- Sill mounting
- Bumper mounting
- Drip mounting
Manufacturing processes
- Embossing -Embossing is the process of stamping sheet to give a 3 dimensional look to the part / product sheet .high pressure is applied to the sheet to project impression of punch to the sheet . Relief is another word used for Embossing .

Bending -This process involves the bending of sheets to make curved surfaces by applying pressure in tangential direction.

DRIP AREA:
It is the important mounting of the fender. This is connected with the engine compartment, therefore the lot of constraints are to be followed while designing the fender.

Sill:
The sill is the panel directly below the bottom of the door supporting the floor and may be used to combine the floor and the body. The bottom end of the fender is mounted on the sill body for reinforcement of the fender panel , thus the sill mounting position is designed with holes and emboss. M5 fasteners are used to fix the fenders on the sill body.

A-PILLER AREA:
The A-pillar is the structural pillar that combines the body with the roof . this makes the sides of the windshield rest . front fenders are fastened to the A-pillar to form a robust structure

Baffle Mounting:
Baffle mounting or mudguard are clip fit type of mounting on the inner side of the fender arch over the Tire. It protects the car engine compartment and pedestrians from causing injuries from chip out debris on the road when the car is in motion. They are mounted on the fender using locking clips.

CONCLUSION:
As we successfully learn about the feature and purpose of front fender and made it in NX CAD and we have learn the tools involved in it.
