Fender Design
Aim:
Designing a front fender from the given skin data and the master section provided with Drip mounting, A-pillar, Sill, Bumper and Baffle (splash) Mounts
Fender:
Fender is a class A surface which is attached above the wheel to cover the engine cabine, people inside and outside of the car from the dirt, sills, and small stones.
Design consideration:
Here we are provided with skin data and the master section, From this we have to create the mounts, that we have to fix the fender in correct position.
There is standard from Europe, USA, and Japan. Here we follow the European standard that we have already seen in before challenge
This challeng going to address the master sectio and mounting places in fender
Steps:
Lets download the skin data

And separate the position by we going to mount

Before designing we have to improve the skin for better class A like fillet area and other surface defect.

So that first we have to extract top surface and side surface saperately and correct the surface as we need without defect.

Then join both surface by extrapolate and trim down.
So now edge fillet the edge joins about 3.75mm

So with consideration of master section edit the mouting portions

So the distance between drip area and bumper is atleast 150mm.
And the distance between cowl and drip is atleast 200mm.

So after measuring the length and placing drip mounting, design the mount for cowl, sill, body, baffle, bumber

Then create the embose for for drip mounting which is fasten in engine cabine by following the master section.

After drip do the necessary fastening area embose for drip body and bumber
For others we normally give flat area which enough to attach with other bodies.

Finally thickening the surface by defining the part body for thickness about 0.75mm

Conclusion:
Here I have designed the fender according to Master section, which utilize my skills and teachs idea of designing the fender.
We have consider the pedastrian safety and get achieve the respective design to mount with the body.
