Fender Design

DEFINITION-

Fender is part of an automobile which covers the wheel well. It prevents the sand, mud, stones, liquid etc to be thrown into the air by rotating wheels. Fenders are typically rigid and can be damaged by contact with the road surface. It is a styling part that is why OEM's manufacture fenders with in their facilities.

There are two type of front fenders full bumber type and half bumber type. For weight reduction which further cause cost efficiency now days we use half bumber type fender mainly across the globe

As already mentioned these are styling parts so welding or reviting can't be applied. Thus fenders are joined with vehichle's different mounting parts using screws and fasteners. Because of this fenders are easily replacable.
