BENCHMARKING

Benchmarking is a process of comparison between the product is going to launch (eg- Car) to already existing product or it's competitor products. It is very important to make our cars unique and competitive so that to sale more cars. It envolves :-

• Structure, Design, Dimension
• Performance of the product
• Services - repair-maintenance, parts availability
• Processes - methods

Benchmarking helps the orgnisations to identify the areas where they have to work and produce a better product than the competitors.

Example :

(A) Entry level Cars (Range: 3-5 lakhs)

since, Buying a car is little bit difficult while selecting, because of the availability of more cars in market. But, it helps to choose a better car in that range as per our requirement. We basically choose on the basis of price, mileage, maintenance cost and comfort.

The entry level cars are mainly choosen by - the customer having less budget and the customer who has less experiance on driving & want to learn driving. few selection at this budget-

But KIA SONET has scored less in G-NCAP =3 star Ratings so we elliminate it. The MAHINDRA XUV300 W4 is providing better built-up quality but with less feature. so, we elleminate this one also.
