• Benchmarking in automobile industry involves a structured comparison between similar products, services or processes on some dimensions of performance.
• Suppose if we take sedan car as our priority, then the comparisons will be made between the available sedans in the market. Here benchmarking will be based on various types.

RECOMMENDATION 1

• TATA NEXON 2020 DIESEL (Compact SUV).

        

• Tata Nexon is surely the SUV car which we can’t miss when we talk about the price range under 10 lacs. If we look at the earlier versions of Tata Nexon, it was already a good car.
• The 2020 upgradation and changes has taken it to the next level.

• CIAZ (SIGMA PETROL).

         

• The Suzuki Ciaz is a Subcompact sedan produced by Suzuki. It is developed to replace the Suzuki SX4 Sedan in several Asian, African and Latin American markets. It went on sale for the first time in India, the largest market for Suzuki in September 2014. It is currently the larger sedan of two sedans currently produced by Suzuki, the other being the Dzire.

HIGHLIGHTS

• The Ciaz measures almost 4.5 metres in length. And it sits on a wheelbase that’s almost 2.7 metres long. To bring things in perspective, the Hyundai verna measures 50mm less on both counts. Not surprisingly, it is the most spacious sedan in its class, especially for the rear passengers.

DRAWBACKS

• Ride quality, it isn’t jarring and it doesn’t crash into every pothole it finds, but it is noisy and unsettled. One can hear everything that’s happening underneath and feel some of it as well.

 

RECOMMENDATION 3

• VITARA BREZZA 2020 (PETROL) (Compact SUV).

         

• Veterra brezza by Maruti generates one of the best sales in this segment.
• 2020 version comes with major changes in its engine and minor but noticeable changes in design.
• Availability of service by Maruti is one of the major reasons we can’t miss this car.

• Hyundai Venue has been launched at a competitive price which makes it a strong recommendation and it is the first car in India to give dual clutch transmission option in its automatic variant.
• Hyundai is also one of the biggest player in Car servicing sector of India.

CONCLUSION

               As per the given conditions, the best car that will be suitable for Mr. Pughazhyendhii will be TATANEXON. It suits all of his requirements. Especially the diesel variant will be more suitable to him because in a heavy city like Bangalore, it gives a pretty descent mileage compared to other vehicles and also it gives better mileage when he goes to Madurai. Boot space is also very spacious so that he can travel with enough luggage. It has inbuilt safety features that protects his family from accidents. Overall, it is a very good suggestion for him by myside.
