BECHMARKING:It is a technical word for comparision.It is a process of comparring of similar products,services on the basis of their performance.Benchmarking occuris during the first stage which is the predesign and development stage. Usually benchamarking occurs in two stages in vehicle development process
Benchmarking 1-It is a prodcut level benchmark. This is the intiail stage in a vehicle developement process where at this stage what type of car it is and what are the features invloved in it like price,mileage,performance etc..comparing with the other products present in the market.
Benchmarking 2-It is part level benchamarking. It is a detailed benchmarking of benchmarking 1. As a BIW enginner we need to compare our product with the compitetor product.It involves the material ,thickness of the part,total weight etc..
SELECTION OF VEHICLES:The vehicles are to be considered based on the requirement of Mr. D.S. Pughazhyendhii who lives in Bangalore.He needs a car for daily purpose to commute to his office and also he visits his hometown madurai which is 500kms from Bangalore once a month with his family comprises five members for a budget of 8-10lakhs.

Pughazhyendhii sinces it has more features and saftey aspects when compared with all the 3 other models.It also has the best infotainment systems,Braking and tracking systems.SO i sueggest hyundai venue for Mr. D.S. Pughazhyendhii.
