Advanced Sheet Metal Design Using NX Cad Challenge _ Metal bracket-II

INTRODUCTION:

In this project we are going to design the metal bracket by using NX CAD.

OBJECTIVE:

The main purpose of this project is to get understand the features involved in it also we are going to use some advanced features.

DESCRIPTION:

We are going to design the bracket and then we will add some features to it and then we are also going to use some advance feature (advance flange).

After that we are going to flat pattern it and draft the sheet.

FEATURES/TOOLS USED:

We have to understand the design first then we will sketch it.

After sketching the design we will use the contour flange feature to give a base tab identity with the flanges along with it.

Then we will cut out the access part from the tab we made by using the sketch we made we will cut out the non required parts and we will do this by using the normal cut out feature.

Then we add some round smooth edges at the corner by using the break corner feature.

After that we will use advance flange feature which make flanges in a curved way too it basically create flange along with the tangential faces so that is why it can create curved shape flanges.

After adding the flanges we will unbend the part by using the unbend feature.

Then we will add some holes by using the hole feature.

Then again we will rebend the part using the rebend feature.

Then we will add gusset which stiffens the sheet metal part it actually creates a supporting tab in the bend areas of the sheet metal.

After all the procedure we will flat pattern it and we will make the drafting sheet of the part we made.

CONCLUSION:

We are successfully able to design and also learned the features involved in it properly.
