This project explores various concepts of Plastic product design like the creation of ribs, bosses, dog-house, etc. And also showcases various lighting concepts and regulations to be aware of while designing and development of a lighting component of a vehicle.
This is a project where the design of an automotive is done from scratch. This project includes first a detailed explanation of the concepts related to lighting reflection and various vehicle types and ECE regulations. Then the regulations considered in designing the reflectors and the lighting unit are explained in detail with appropriate images. After covering all the concepts related to lighting and the lighting parameters, the modeling of the tail-lamp will start. First, the Lens plastic part is prepared with a welding track through which the design of the housing begins. After designing Housing with the surrounding data provided, a sample wiring harness is prepared. The complete assembly of housing, lens, and all the child parts is prepared for creating the assembly drawing and child part drawings. In this project, the concepts of plastic product design, lighting, Advanced surface molding, data important to mention while preparing the drawing and basics of the wiring harness is covered.
