Christmas Time is Near, Time for Joy and Time for Cheer.

Christmas time is near, time for joy and time for cheer.

A  time for joy, a time for reflection. The Christmas season is one that draws family and friends together, one in which we reflect on the year that passed us and prepares for the one that is on the horizon. There is a unique calm in the air this time of year, a sense of accomplishment, no matter how small.

This last year - 2021 has been a trying time for a multitude of reasons. The first year after 2 years were wiped out from our collective memory after the pandemic. The first year when going out became the norm again. But, the gravity of what we have been through still remained at the back of our minds, just gnawing like an unwelcome guest who overstayed their welcome.

What better way to get rid of that feeling than to sit back, sip on a hot chocolate or piping hot coffee, and talk to your friends about life and everything in between?

At Skill-Lync we had a lot to be thankful for this year.

Our dream started when we realized how Indian engineering students failed to match up to their overseas counterparts. It takes a lot to be an engineer, it is four productive years of your life, and it comes with the need to be dedicated to your craft. India is filled with engineers like Ranchoddas Chanchad (the character Aamir Khan plays in 3 Idiots) but when they step up to the world stage they are found lacking.

The simple reason for it is that Indian engineering colleges are designed to be theory-heavy while leaving the practical aspect of engineering for students to train in when they get employed.

Surya and Sarang - two engineering students who were pursuing their Master’s in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. It was there that they realized and experienced first-hand the gap that existed between the engineering curriculum in India and the US. They spent the next 4 years of their lives creating a solution to the problems of engineering students, to help them reach their career goals.

We are thankful that we have been able to help these students realize their potential.

We are now living in the age of big data. If an engineer does not have training in at least one tool that specializes in data, they are not thinking about their long term prospects. Data is pervasive, but it is also an instrument of great change. Everything from reducing redundancies in the supply chain ( thus freeing up resources ) to finding brain tumours - everything is now possible because of the way engineers have designed tools to interpret data.

We have launched a couple of new programs that you can check out here. We are thankful for the industry experts who worked with us in creating these programs that will help students scale up to a better career profile.

Every year on Christmas day, Santa comes to Skill-Lync and with him he always brings goodies. And this year, it's no different. Any engineering student who wants to enrol in Skill-Lync Premium Master’s Program can do so at a discount of 20%. But, Christmas is time for sharing, therefore if you and your friend were to join any Skill-Lync Master’s Program together, both of you will get a discount of 30% on the course fee of your Premium Master’s Program.

This offer of course is only valid until Rudolf and the company stay at Skill-Lync.
