Chapter 5a – Top 10 universities for Bio-mechanics

logo

Skill-Lync

We discussed about the various fields in Bio Mechanics and the roles that you can pursue after specializing in it. One obvious feature with this field is its interdisciplinary nature. Thus some universities have it under Biomedical Engineering and other universities will have it under their Mechanical Engineering program.

All that said, now you are probably looking for the best universities in the US that provide a Master’s specialization in Bio-Mechanics.

Luckily for you, we have put together a comprehensive list of some well known universities based upon how good their Biomedical and Mechanical Engineering streams are. Below we have listed out the top 10 univeristies for BioMechanics. We have provided links to their research pages as well, it is highly recommended to take a look at them.

We had analyzed the top 20 univeristies and have it stored here, feel free to take a look at it. Also having a look at top 50 Bio-mechanics universities we found a pattern.

  • 21 of the top 50 universities are placed in the East coast, in states like Macsaacheutus, Pennsylvania, Maryland, New York, New Jersey & Virginia
  • 9 of the top 50 univeristies are placed in the Mid west, in states like Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, Wisconsin, Minnesota & Missouri
  • 8 of the top 50 universities are placed in California.

This makes perfect sense, because when we looked into the jobs data, Mid West, East coast and West coast dominated Bio-mechanics oriented jobs. So if you are passionate in this field but do not have the scores, your best option is to opt for a slightly lower ranked university in these regions.

Now going to the top universities in Bio-mechanics,

Carnegie Mellon University, Pennsylvania

Columbia University in the City of New York, New york

Cornell University, New york

Georgia Institute of Technology – Main Campus, Georgia – Atlanta

Johns Hopkins University, Maryland

Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Boston

Northwestern University, Illinois

Pennsylvania State University – Main Campus, Pennsylvania

Purdue University-Main Campus, Illinois

Stanford University, California

Texas A&M University, Texas

If you want to see how your profile compares with all these univeristies you can compare it at edxengine.com/services/MyUniversity/. You will get a clear idea of how you compare against these universities – Take a look at the below picture to get an idea.

All the very best in your university search. Hope this is helpful, please leave comments in case you have any questions. The next post will be on other fields of specialization.
