Wiring harness design in CATIA V5 - 3D modeling Week 7 Challenge

Routing

1. Open all connector step files and define electrically and store in catalogue.

1. Create new Cat Product File.
2. Browse all required connectors from catalogue in assembly.
3. Adjust placement of all connectors as shown in question.
4. Open wiring harness environment.
5. Select geometrical bundle.
6. Select multi-branchable and enter Diameter 10 mm.
7. In route definition select connectors according to required layout.
8. Adjust position of connector, tangent direction accordingly.

10. After complete layout save assembly.

Generating Drawing View

1. Create new drawing file and select required drawing sheet size and orientation.
2. In properties 3D wireframe select always visible option.
3. Tile both product files vertically.
4. Select Front view and select connector face.
5. Using manipulation tool orient in required direction.
6. In properties select wireframe always visible.
7. Save File.
