Wiring harness design in CATIA V5 - 3D modeling Week 4 Challenge
- Download DT06-4S, DT06-6S, DT06-2S, DT06-08SA from Te.com .
- Open step file and save in catpart.
- Define all connector electrically and store in catalogue under connector family.
- Create new Cat Product File.
- Browse DT06-4S, DT06-6S, DT06-2S, DT06-08SA in assembly.
- Adjust placement of all connectors as shown in question.
- Open wiring harness environment.
- Select geometrical bundle.
- Select multi-branchable and enter Diameter 10 mm and in slack option enter length 550mm.
- In route definition select DT06-08SA and next point DT06-6S.
- Adjust position of connector, tangent direction accordingly.
- Add branch point at 100mm and 200mm according to question.
- Using multi-branchable connect other connector as shown in image.
- Add protective covering on all branches connected to DT06-2S & DT06-4S connectors.
- Keep end extremity at 30mm (from connectors end)
