Wiring harness design in CATIA V5 - 3D modeling Week 4 Challenge
AIM
To assume the diameters of the harness bundles and route the provided harness arrangement on an electrical workbench. Including a protective covering with a 30 mm end extremity (from the connector end).
GIVEN
The following connectors are used in the harness.
- DT06-2S
- DT06-4S
- DT06-6S
- DT06-08SA
GIVEN HARNESS LAYOUT
PROCEDURE
- Acquire the CAD files for the required connectors.
- Convert the acquired mechanical parts into electrical parts by the following steps,
- After converting it into electrical parts, Bring all the converted connectors into the Electrical harness assembly workbench.
- Then, place all the connector in the required position using move, snap, Translate or rotation command.
- Route it by giving route definition.
- Then provide Protective covering in the required place.
RESULT
Using electrical workbench in CATIA V5 routing is completed for the provided harness arrangement. Included a protective covering with a 30 mm end extremity (from the connector end).
