Wiring harness design in CATIA V5 - 3D modeling Week 4 Challenge

Objective :

Route the following harness layout in Electrical workbench. Make assumption for harness bundle diameters. Use Following connectors as shown in layout diagram.

Add protective covering on all branches connected to DT06-2S & DT06-4S connectors. Keep end extremity at 30mm (from connectors end)

Answers:

Created a product named wiring harness assembly and create another product inside it called geometrical bundle .

Added and positioned all the required parts inside the geometrical bundle product using snap command .

Now switched to electeical harness aseembly workbench and routed each parts using multi branchable document command .

Branches were created at given dimensions using add branch point command .

Now exited the multi branchable work bench back to electrical harness assembly workbench .

Now to add protective cover , clicked to protective covering command , opened the cot tube catalogue and added covering to all branches with an end clearance of 30 mm to connectors.

Hence we have created the routing as per given data .
