Wiring harness design in CATIA V5 - 3D modeling Week 2 Challlenge

Aim:- Define the given connector and connector clip as an electrical connector and add they're necessary properties using the electrical part design workbench in CATIA V5.

Objective:- The objective of the project, download the given file from TE.com then define them as electrical connectors or equipment and lastly give all the required electrical properties to them using an electrical part design workbench on CATIA V5.

We follow below stages to design the given project:

1. Create the required geometrical parameters for connector.
2. Create bundle entry points.
3. Then, define a geometrical parameter for clip.
4. Define part as connector.
5. Create bundle connection point.
6. Create a connector connection point.
7. Create a cavity connection point for a clip.

We used the following Connector and clip:-

Two connector:

1. Deutsch DT06 – 08SA
2. Tyco 174357-2

Clip:

1. Tyco 85229-1

Connectors:-

1. Deutsch DT06 – 08SA

2. Tyco 174357-2

Clip:-

1. Tyco 85229-1

Conclusion:-

Both connector and clip are defined as an electrical connector and electrical mounting equipment respectively.
