Yatch Report

Title of project:-Design,assembly and rendering of yatch.

Objective:-To learn sheet metal working and their design also learn inside the surface there will be different tool,by using the given tools we design the yatch model.

Introduction:- A yatch is a boat which mainly used in ocean,river for fun and over a water.Originally,yatch is a sailing boats.there never was an official industry wide definition of what a super-, mega- or a gigayacht really is. Some people would say superyachts start at around 25 meters, megayachts at 60-70 meters and the gigayachts from 100 meters and up, but they are ballpark figures. Multiply meters by 3.28 to get the equivalent in feet. Common for all, they are all yachts and they all employ crew, lots of crew in fact.we have try to design a cosmetic model of the yatch.we are draw a different types of yatch parts like Hull, Radarmast, Radar, Superstructure and assembled it at the end.all the design is done in solidworks.solidworks is a Computer Aided Design (CAD) and Computer Aided Engineering (CAE) program.

Design Methodology:-

Description:-The tools are used while making the yatch as below.

• Sketch:-

• Smart dimensions:It helps applying dimensions to the entities easier and making the sketch fully constraint.
• Trim entities:-Remove the excess portion from the sketch.
• Convert entities:-Helps projecting entities from a different plane to the current sketch plane.
• Mirrior entities:-Create same sketch pattern about the selected plane.
• Repair sketch:-If the projected sketch having any issues or the sketch having some mating problem can be shown here.

• Features:-

• Extruded surface/boss/base/cut:-Create a solid body for the sketch in the defined direction.
• Revolved surface/boss/base/cut:-Create a revolve body about the selected line, mainly used for creating solid rods.
• Swept surface/boss/base/cut:- Create a solid surface among a given curved surface.
• Lofted surface:-By using loft, we selected three reference and make surface or cover the surface.
• Extruded cut:-To remove the material from the body.
• Fillet:-Create a fillet along sharp edge of the given radius.
• Shell:-Create a hollow portion to the solid block.
• Combine:-Merges two solid body after extrude is done.

• Advance tools :-

• Surface Sweep:-Sweep surface using profile and guide path.

• Surface Knit:-Knit surface together and merge them in one.

• Surface Trim:-Trim the excess portion or surface/remove the particular surface from the body.

• Projected Curve:-Perfect 3-Dimensional curve trace by using this tool.

• Ruled Surface:-Create a ruled surface along the edge.
