Door Trim Lower with Engineering Features

AIM

Create the Door Trim Lower Plastic component through the given Class-A surface. To begin with, the tooling axis for the given Class-A Surface should be created meeting the requirements of the draft angle and at the end perform the Draft analysis on the model.

TOOLING AXIS

  • The tooling axis is created in the y direction
  • In this part we can simply create the tooling axis in y direction by creating a point in the extracted surface

B SURFACE

  • The B surface is an offset from the A surface for 2.5mm
  • By offsetting the a surface it will create some patches so we can solve the patches by using jion, extrapolate, extract and trim command

C SURFACE

  • The inner c surface and outer c surface in created by using sweep command

FINAL TRIM

  • A surface and C surface is jioned together later it was trimed by the B surface ensuring there is no open line

SOLID BODY

  • The close surface command is used to create the solid body

DRAFT ANALYSIS IN SOLID BODY

  • Draft analysis is done in the solid body the component will be cleared in 2.9 degree

FOURWAY LOCATOR

  • This locator is done by using pad, draft and fillets

HEAT STAKE

  • The heat stakes are created and placed in the give points

DRAFT ANALYSIS FOR 4 WAY LOCATORS AND HEAT STAKES

  • Draft analysis is done to the 4 way locators and heat stakes
  • This will be cleared in .45 degree
