Week 9 - Project 1 - Door Trim Lower with Engineering Features

AIM :- To create SOLID BODY with engineering features by using given class A surface.

OBJECTIVE :-

  • TO CREATE TOOLING AXIS.
  • TO CREATE SOLID BODY WITH PROPER THICKNESS.
  • TO CREATE HEAT STAKE AND LOCATORS AS PER DESIGN RULE
  • PERFORM DRAFT ANALYSIS.

CLASS A SURFACE :-

TOOLING AXIS :-

  • For tooling axis we have created a line using point by giving point direction.

CLASS B SURFACE :-

  • For class B surface we have offeseted the class A surface.
  • we have some patches in this surface.
  • we have filled this patches using multi section and extrapolation, trimming then give fillets as per design.

FINAL CLASS B SURFACE :-

CLASS C SURFACE :-

  • For class C surface we have used sweep method using with refrence surface.

OPEN BODY :-

HEAT STAKE AND LOCATORS :-

HEAT STAKE :-

  • For heat stake, firstly create a sketch for that.

  • By using pad method we have made our heat stake.
  • then give the draft of 0.5 degree with edge filletof 0.25mm

LOCATORS :-

Same as for the heat stake

DRAFT ANALYSIS :-

FINAL BODY WITH ENGINEERING FEATURES :-

  • Here we have our final body by creating translation of heat stake and locators then union trim with the solid body.

DRAFT ANALYSIS :-

VIEW :-

TREE STRUCTURE :-

CONCLUSION :-

We have created our model with engineering features as per design rule by using given class A surface.
