Week 9-Creation of 1D Connectors Challenge
Aim - Provided below are the quality parameters that you have to follow.
Procedure - First import the model from the file.
The component look likes the below shown.
In the challenge they have given the criteria parameters. select the preferences and select the criteria file settings.
As per the given quality criteria parameters insert that values in to the file and select apply and ok.
After inserting the values the component get meshed so, select the 2D and select the component.
Insert the values for the elemental size and select the mesh type as quad.
The component get mesh as shown in below.
After getting mesh needs to make the connection for the component.
In this connections there are various type of joints are there. Needs to use the various type of joints as shown in below.
1.Select seam and select the node list give the spaccing of 5. select the retain node and select the specific type, select the nodes and components.
As shown below select the few nodes from the nodelist and select the both component.
2. Similarly by using the seam only, select the type as quad and create.
Below shown the quad elements are created by using the seam.
3. For the some of component create the 2layers of 5 mm dia spot for the component.
The component is getting with the spot for the component.
4. For using the seam create the Hexa (adhesive) for the component and give the tolerence of 20.
Select the few nodes from the node list and select the components and do the mesh.
5 and 6 Needs to make the bolt connections select the bolt and select the nodes and components, creat the bolt.
The bolt is created between the 2 parts and its get green and its shows in below for the left side and right side respectively.
7. The spot for regid components and do the spot for the RBE2 elements.
By selecting the nodes and select the both components, select the create.
8. The spot for the component as select the spring type and create the spot with spring.
Below shown the components gets spot with spring.
9. For other components from collectores create the same kind of suitable connectors were use.
As for the below shown the by using the bolt connectors for the components.
Similarly check the connections for all the components and connect them. The final comonents becomes as shown in below.
