Week 9-Creation of 1D Connectors Challenge

Aim: To mesh the given geometry with quality criteria and provide connections for the same

Procedure:

Load the component into Hypermesh software

As seen from the above image the component is made up of individual parts .These parts has to be connected with each other so that load can be transferred.

Before connections can be made the component has to be meshed .Since the component has several parts .Meshing is done for each part separately

Meshing is done using automesh option 2D>Automesh>element type:Mixed>element size:5 .

Quality criteria is entered

Elements failing for quality elements can be rectified using several options such as Rebuild,Remesh,cleanup tools

As seen the parts have good mesh flow and satisfied all quality criteria

Final model with mesh

Connections

Once the model has been meshed and free from quality criteria then connection can been done
