Week 9-Creation of 1D Connectors Challenge

OBJECTIVE

To create a 2D mesh for the component and also need to connect all the parts by following the quality criteria and given connection data.

PROCEDURE

Here we don’t have a parent collector, we have only mid surfaces that already created. By these surfaces we can mesh every part with the following quality criteria. Its very simple to mesh these parts.

Seam-Quad(angled+capped+L)

Go to 2D<seam<connectors, here we can customize all the settings. Select and node selection and create a seam weld.

Here the seam cap angle and taper angle also be with the seam weld data and it can be modified.

Quad elements

Spot weld with 2 Layers and 5 mm Diameter

Hexa (Adhesive)

here i used the hexa adhesive with the 2 coats, 3 strips and width of 5.

here the coats are 4,strips are 3 and width of 5.

Bolt Connector

bolt connectors are created where ever its needed.

Spot-weld with Rigid Elements

Spot-weld with Spring Elements

these left rails only are created with spot spring elements.

RESULTS

All the parts are meshed and connected with connectors and rigid elements by following quality criteria.
