Week 9 - Creating connection for Rear door

Aim:

For the given Rear door FE model, Create and Apply different PIDs for different components. By using the same technique and the elements as shown in the video, Perform suitable connections.

Procedure:

1. 3D Point is creeate using COG to convert it into bolts.

2. RBE2 for door hinge.

3. Followed by creating RBE2 many at latch area and rail mechanism.

4. Spot weld is created using 3D point and connect with spot weld RBE3HEXARBE3.

5. MV free is used to extend the frame of the rail and mesh is reconstructed.

6. RBE2 of cluster is made between rail and window glass.

7. Handle is modeled using RBE2 and CONM2 to apply load of mass (M).

8. Feat2Curve and RBE3-CBUSh-RBE3 for window slide connection.

Outcome:

Rear door is being model with required connection which can be used in simulation to apply load, give rotational and translational movement. The stability can be determined with modal analysis.
