Week 9 - Challenge 2 - Switch Bezel Design
DESIGN AND DRAFT ANALYSIS OF SWITCH BEZEL
AIM
The aim of the project is to design the switch bezel and to do a draft analysis for it by creating the required tooling direction with the help of Bisecting method.
INTRODUCTION
The control panel bezel is the frame part of the window switch that holds its switch covers and buttons into place. Moulding is the method used to manufacture the plastic trims of an automotive by most OEM’s, hence by considering the manufacturing consideration the switch bezel is designed.
1.First we want to make a tooling axis.

2.Then we want to want to do DRAFT ANALYSIS for the CLASS A SURFACE by using the AXIS SYSTEM.

3.Then we want to create a B SURFACE using offset and surface untrim.

4.Using a trim option by removing unwanted surfaces create a final B SURFACE.

5.Then create do a fillet for the corners with the required dimensions.

6.Then create a boundary for the B SURFACE.

7.By using joint option join those two surfaces.

8.Then create a partbody and implicate the CLOSE SURFACE option. The part surface should be closed surface.

9.Then do a DRAFT ANALYSIS for the CLASS C surface.

10.Create a publication for TOOLING AXIS,CLASS A surface, CLASS B surface, CLASS C surface.

11.All the sketches are under geometrical set.
12.Ensure proper tree structure.

13.Use the CLOSE SURFACE feature to make a solid body from the surface.
