Week 9 - Attachment Feature Creation - Challenge 2

DOG HOUSE

Aim

• To create a Closed body and Dog House for the given Class-A surface.

Class-A surface

• First we are going to check the given Class-A and then we will find the Tooling axis.

Tooling axis

• We are going to create a tooling axis normal to surface.

Class-B surface

• We are going to offset the class-A surface to a 2.5 MM and we are going to solve the patches formed by offsetting the surface and we will solve the patches.
• Then extrapolate the surface and it will be Final Class-B.

Class-C Surface

• We will use the Class-A surface along with Draft direction at 3° with Tooling Axis.

Closed Surface

• After Solving we will Join Class-A ,Class-C and Trim with Class-B.

Dog house

• We will create the Dog House According to the Design Rules and We will do Draft Analysis.

Draft Analysis

• We will perform Draft analysis on Closed Surface and Dog House.
• The Draft analysis for the Closed surface is between 0°-3°.
• The draft analysis for the Dog house outer surface is 0°-1.5.
• The draft analysis for the dog house inner surface is 0°-0.5°.
• We will per form along the Tooling Axis and Side Core Axis.
