Week 9 - Attachment Feature Creation - Challenge 1
To creating rib in coin holder we need to create a geometric set as Rib dedign and extract the base surface of coin holder.

Draw a sketch over the extract and make it iso constraint extrude the sketch with reference of tooling axis.

We need to calculate the rib height 5"wall height i.e 5*2.5=12.5 height

Change the workbench to partdesign give the rib thickness calculate by using rib thickness formula 0.4*wall thickness 2.5= 1mm.

Give draft to the rib select the 4 sides of rib and select the neutral surface then give the draft angle of 0.5 deg the pulling direction must be tooling axis. Draft is useful to take the part out from the mold. Rib top tip is 0.75.

Give the fillet for the rib as radius 0.25 then we need check the root rib thickness. For that make a intersection then create a tri tangent circle and measure its dia and compare it with the wall thickness. Value must be 30% of the wall thickness. If the value beyond 30% then there is sink in plastic component.

We need to calculate the space betweem two ribs according to design rule 3:1 or 2:1 we can choose. To calculate the space we need to divide the rib height with ratio. Here we take 6mm.

Make an offset of 6mm from the first rib then extract it and give thickness draft fillet then we got our secound rib.
Draft analysis the rib
