Attachment Feature Creation-Challenge1

Aim: To create rib design in coin holder according the engineering features and calculations explained.

Objective: To understand the basic engineering features and design rules for creating the ribs followed by draft angle in Catia V5.

Design methodology and requirements:

The base edge of coin holder from back side is extracted and then the lines are drawn at the base side at a particular place.

Thickness of the rib is calculated as 0.4 times the thickness of the component which is 0.4*2.5=1mm

Then the draft of 0.5 degree is given to the rib.

The height of the rib is taken as 5 times the thickness which is 5*2.5=12.5mm.

And finally, the draft analysis is done.
