Week 8 Worm Gear Challenge

OBJECTIVE: To perform a transient structural analysis on a worm gear assembly

PROCEDURE:

Drop Transient Structural and rename it as Worm Gear
Import the geometry
Edit the geometry in Space Claim
Use the Rectangle filter and pull out the semi circle
Update the Model
Open the Mechanical module
Rename the parts
Right click on the contacts and rename based on the definition
Create Ground to gear revolute joint and
Create ground to worm revolute joint
Make the contact Frictionless

CONCLUSION: When the worm rotates the gear also rotates and gives us the value for Stress, Strain and Deformation.
