Week 8 - Challenge 6 - Core & Cavity Design
AIM: Create the Core and cavity blocks for the switch bezel.
PROCEDURE:
* Before we start designing the core and cavity, It is suggested to perform a draft analysis on the solid part.

* Now for core design, we have taken the boundary of class A surface, and extrapolated it. Trim it with Class C Surface. Now further trim, the remaining surface with Class B Surface as shown. This surface is known as parting surface.

* Create a rectangular sketch on the xy plane, and extrude it along the direction of the tooling axis. as hown below.

* Trim respectively, to get the core side and the cavity side as individual entities.
Fill the surfaces and convert them into solid. For better understanding you can translate the cavity and core a bit away from the parting surface along the tooling direction. as shown below.

The intersection of the class B and class C surface forms the parting line. Highlighted in yellow dotted lines.
CONCLUSION:
Thus, by following above method, the core and cavity of the bezel switch is made.
